Oooh La La!

Sometimes people are too hot.

There are men that I meet who I am attracted to, because they're attractive. Duh. And they're are those guys who I become attracted to because of who they are. But, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about those rare, god-like individuals that are so physically attractive that to be in their presence is painful and unnerving. The sight of them can induce sweating, a stutter and you have to avoid direct eye contact.

I have such a man in my life. He's a former student of mine. He's cooler than I could ever hope to be and is attractive in the aforementioned god-like way. Being cool means that he knows things that only cool/hot people are allowed to know. Seeing that we are friends --a friendship resigned to online communicating as a result of the aforementioned stuttering and sweating-- I became aware of one to the coolest things known to cool people. A French website called La Blogothèque.

(This proves another one of my suspicions about cool people: they speak French).

Anyway, this website has a concert series called Take Aways in which they've challenged great indie bands the world over to perform spontaneous concerts that are recorded in a single take. Just. Plain. Genius. Here's one of my favorite Take Away's from the lot (they're over 70):

Arcade Fire played March 19th, at Olympia Hall, in Paris. They sung Neon Bible in an elevator and started the concert into the crowd with Wake Up.

This is my holiday gift to you. Watch and live as a cool person, if only for 5 minutes.
