Because I'm genetically predisposed to be one of those creative performing types, one of the first things I do is look for a fix. And luckily I found improv. I started attending a weekly play to play, and quickly got entangled with regular cast of improv performers here and they've asked me to take the stage with them. I'm the newest member of Spontaneous Confusion! Woot Woot!
I feel so blessed and happy I could puke. And when things couldn't have gotten any better, they did. The rehearsal day for SponCon is TUESDAYS!!! Said hole, filled.
My first show is next Friday at 9PM in Tokyo. Can I just tell you how amazing it feels to say that? Like most artist, I feel that one way to get better at your craft you have to DO it more. And one of my biggest fears coming all this way was that I wouldn't have a chance to DO it. But that just shows me yet again that there is something (someone) bigger than me who knows my heart and wants me to be happy.
On my way to rehearsal I snapped a few pictures. I wanted you to see the dichotomy of stepping off the street (filled with all things Japan), into an Ex-pat filled room of people doing a western art from.
