As 2007 comes to a close, I (like the rest of world) have become reflective.
I'm reflecting on all that I have been blessed to do this year and all the wonderful changes that have taken place in my life. As I look back, I try not to define the not-so-great moments as bad, "there is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Call it blissful ignorance, I don't care. It makes me feel powerful to think of the not-so-great moments of 2007 as character building and ultimately positive - serving as the fuel I'll need to kick ass in 2008.
So, I now begin to look forward to what the new year will bring. And I can't help but embrace the wildly optimistic and hopeful side of myself this time of year. It's kind of obnoxious, but that's me. I can't help it. I'm filled with just enough hope and optimism to make bold statements about my future and about what this next year will hold.
My hope for you is that your 2008 with all the happiness and laughter you can stand. And I hope that you Thoreau it up - Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.
